The Nine Days following Amavasai (New Moon Day) are dedicated to Goddess and Thaayaar (Sri Mahalakshmi) worship and are celebrated as Navarathiri Festival. It is also known as Sharadha Navarathiri. Many types of dolls painted in auspicious colours are arranged on steps known as Golu and prayers are offered and devotional songs are sung every evening. The first three days are for the worship of Mother Goddess as Durga, the following there days for Sri Mahalakshmi and the final three days for Sri Saraswathi. The Lord of the Nine planets, the Sun enters the zodiac sign Kanni during this time and begins his journey towards the Southern hemisphere.  This period is considered as night time for Devas (celestial beings) and therefore the time for the worship of Mother Goddess and female deities, who is pleased by their devotion and blesses them in great measure. At our temple, special Thirumanjanam (Sacred Bath) are conducted for Sri Mahalakshmi on all nine days and also placed on the swing.

The Temple welcomes donors and benefactors who wish to be a part of this community initiative
